Peter Kaliaropoulos
Chief Executive, Batelco, Bahrain
Peter Kaliaropoulos has over 25 years of experience in the Information Communications Technology Industry and has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Batelco (Bahrain Telecommunications Company) since 1st June 2005.
Peter has had diverse assignments with companies in Asia Pacific, North America, UK, Australia and New Zealand prior to his current posting in the Middle East. He has worked with various companies such as SingTel Optus, British Telecom, Telstra, StarHub and Clear Communications.
As a CEO and COO in previous roles, Peter has led the transformation and growth of a number of companies operating across multiple geographies supporting consumer, corporate and multi-national clients.
He has been responsible for people development and leadership, strategy, product development, marketing sales, customer care, service assurance and provisioning as well as finance for both core telecom services and ICT solutions and professional services.
Peter has also served on the board of a number of IT&T companies in Singapore, Australia and the US.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and a MBA. He was born in Athens, Greece, is an Australian national and is married with one daughter.
