Kai Uebach
Chief Executive Officer, Telecel Globe
Kai Uebach has taken over the Position of the CEO of Telecel Globe Ltd , a company focusing on Acquisition and Management of mobile operations in Emerging Markets, on January 2008. He serves as well as Chairman of the Board of Bakcell, Azerbaijan since January 2007.
Kai Uebach started his career with Siemens AG in November 1987 as an account manager for defense projects. Since then he has held numerous sales and marketing positions at SiemensŐ headquarters in Munich. In 1991, he took over the role of Deputy Director of the Sales Group for Radar and Laser Identification Systems. In 1994, he became Director of the E-Plus Project within the ICM Networks division, successfully acquiring the first GSM 1800 project won by Siemens. In 1997, he assumed the leadership of the newly created Asia Pacific Sales Group of the Networks division and was promoted to Vice President.
He was named Senior Vice President in 1999, with expanded responsibilities for all countries in the Middle East, Africa and North America. In 2003 he became President Mobile Networks EMEA, being responsible for more than 2 Billion USD revenues. During this time he was Member of the Board of Siemens Egypt, Siemens IC Tunisia, CTI Pakistan , ZIR Russia and Chairman of the Board of ZETA GmbH Germany.
From January 2007 on he served as Chairman of the Board of JV MDC (VELCOM) , Belarus and as Managing Director of Whitestone Communication Networks Ltd.
Kai Uebach holds a Telecommunication Engineering Degree from the University of Dieburg.
